路边石（路沿石）是指设用在路面边缘的界石，也成道牙或缘石，它是在路面上区分车行道、人行道、绿地、隔离带和道路其他路边石路边石部分的界线，起到保障行人、车辆交通安全和保证路面边缘整齐的作用。路边石的形式有立式，斜式和平式等。

1.路边石（路沿石）必须挂通线进行施工,按侧平面顶面示高标线绷紧，按线码砌侧平石，侧平石要安正，切忌前仰后合，侧面顶线顺直圆滑平顺，无高低错牙现象，平面无上下错台、内外错牙现象。
